Rene Ingram-Dunham’s journey as a storyteller is truly inspiring! Growing up in Detroit, as a small child when she won The Young Writer’s Contest; a statewide competition, her father, columnist, journalist, and radio personality, Jim Ingram of Drumbeat Commentary, noticed she had a talent for writing and encouraged her passion by teaching her the power of the pen and the strength in having her voice heard.

It set the stage for her creative endeavors. She wrote the school plays for five years at her son’s school, which included two musicals with song lyrics composed by Rene.  It's impressive that she has transitioned from writing school plays to establishing her own production company, Stiletto Boss Productions. The metaphor of the stiletto not only signifies strength and confidence but also captures her courage to, “Step out on faith.”

When once asked how she manages to come up with such a wide range of stories and amazing characters Rene replied, “Stories and characters pop into my head kind of like a beautiful Kailedescope of ideas most times in my dreams or in the middle of the night.   I sort through all the vibrant thoughts the next morning and create fascinating stories from them. Some I bring to life right away, and others I save away in my story vault.”

The success of her stage productions, demonstrates her talent and the demand for her work. The anticipation surrounding her new show, *Jezebels’ Blues,* indicates that her audience is eager to see what she will create next.
